Inter Chapter Karting Endurance RaceOur Chapter Director and BNI local area Director, Steve Bimpson, is planning some inter Chapter networking and challenges for 2010. The first of these is an Inter-Chapter Karting Endurance Race at TeamSport Karting in Gosport . Friday 19th February at 7pm  The format for the evening will be as follows: - It will be a closed race so we will have the venue to ourselves for the evening.
- Arriving at 7pm, there will be a safety talk/presentation.
- All drivers will then have the chance to get to grips with the karts in the practice session.
- The race will be a 75 minute endurance format involving pit stops and driver changes.
- There will be cups awarded to the winners etc. etc.
Ideally, each team of 2 should consist of members from the same Chapter but we can mix & match if we have to. We need a minimum of 7 teams to run the event and a maximum of 12 teams. That’s 2 teams per Chapter (Meon Valley Flyers, Capital Winchester, Fortress Fareham, Portsmouth Nelson, Solent Southampton and Southampton Uplands). The cost is £39.95 per head for the evening. Food and refreshments are available on site and a menu is available. Please note that food is not included as part of the package and you will have to pay for that yourselves. Spectators are very welcome (why not make it a BNI social as well?) and there is no charge to them, other than their own food and refreshments. If the evening is successful, we could make it a quarterly event and have our own prizes for the winners of the championship at the end of the year.

  International Networking Week Friday 5th February Norton Park Hotel, Sutton Scotney, Nr Winchester, Hampshire, SO21 3NB Directions 6.30am - 10.00am The goal of International Networking Week is to celebrate the key role that networking plays in the development and success of businesses across the world. It is the wish of Dr. Ivan Misner, the founder of BNI, that all members should reap the benefits of participating in this one off annual event. The 'Big Breakfast,' which is held in the first week of February, is the way BNI Hampshire recognises International Networking week. Designed for members to have the benefit of meeting as many members from other Chapters as possible, this meeting should replace your normal weekly Chapter meeting, therefore your chapter will be invoiced for your meeting fee, one week before. Normal attendance policy applies. The 'Big Breakfast' meeting will run from 7.00 am until 10.00am with open networking from 6.30 am. A continental breakfast will be provided. Visitors are welcome as normal, the meeting fee is £10.00. Please inform your Leadership Team by 22nd January for catering purposes if you have any Visitors. The meeting will start with a short video presentation from Ivan Misner, BNI's Founder, followed by speed networking - we greatly look forward to seeing you all there for this exciting event. Member Success Training is suited to new and seasoned members of your chapter to help you learn how to get the best out of BNI, including presentation skills tailored to the way a BNI Chapter works, showing you how to get introductions to a targeted market. It is also essential to understand the importance of "building a network" in BNI, the central plank of BNI activity. Finally, we will dispel the worry that you might not be able to find referrals for fellow members, and put you on route to developing your skills to recognise opportunities that are around you most of the time.
