Members of Meon Valley Flyers Decide to Give Something Back

In March 2009 Malcolm Archibald, one of our Founder Members, invited Sarah Mills to come along and vist with us.  Sarah is a fundraiser for the charity 'Kids South East' and came along bubbling with enthusiasm.  Which is what Sarah does!

Although she had no previous experience of BNI, after having met the team on that first visit she could clearly see that the 'Givers Gain' philosophy behind BNI was alive and kicking in the shape of the Meon Valley Flyers.  With our focus on helping each other find new business opportunities she developed an instant enthusiasm for BNI, and for the members of Meon Valley Flyers.  Her second visit followed on quite quickly and Sarah came along, not only sporting referrals for some of the members, she also brought along a couple of visitors to meet us, as well.

Visitors are always welcome here at Meon Valley Flyers as we are all about networking and building relationships.  Good relationships result in high levels of trust and it's when trust is established that referrals start to flow.

It was very clear that Sarah felt an immediate affinity for the members , and they for her.  Our Leadership Team got their heads together and suggested that we could support 'Kids', and Sarah, by making them our nominated charity and sponsoring their membership of Meon Valley Flyers.  The idea was circulated to the membership for everyone to vote on and the result was a landslide in support of the suggestion.  The rest, as they say, is history!

We Support KIDS

Sarah joined us in April 2009 and has been a great addition to the team.  She's always enthusuastic and has a great energy and enthusuasm for what she does.  It's no surprise that the members have given support to Sarah and 'Kids' in many ways.  They've attended many of the events that 'Kids' organise, some of the fitter members ran the Great South Run on behalf of 'Kids' and others have done a 'Firewalk Challenge.  There have also been some interesting introductions arranged for Sarah and some fairly sizeable donations have resulted.
